Chapter 30 - Leaving
The pain that Blair felt from his crushed arm was unimaginable. So much so that tears found their way out of his eyes. But when everyone agreed to move onto the next stage, what choice does he have?
He wants to stay in this stage and recuperate at least till the pain diminishes a little but will they wait for him?
He couldn\'t hold back his tears anymore as he sobbed.
"Umu okaooooi"
He nodded. Kristie stuck his palm on his face in anger. Meanwhile, Bret felt guilty for the choice that he made. Bret thought that he had made a logical decision considering they needed Klautz\'s help but now seeing Blair cry he was having second thoughts.
No one could lash at Blair for crying in such a situation, he was a kid after all.
Dant tried to look apologetic to his condition but internally he was happy. He could make everyone agree to move onto the next stage, he had met his objective. A child can only cry for a few hours and then stop but here his life was at stake. How could he not be happy when there is finally some hope for his survival?
As a successful businessman back on earth he had made many sales. And now this was also added another successful sale to his streak. After all, he was selling an idea. It could be very well be considered as a successful sale.
Dant turned around to Klautz. He walked ahead and the others followed behind. Kristle looked pissed but he followed behind him anyway. What other choice did he have?
Dant had his chest puffed as if he had come back victorious from a fighting a war.
Seeing his expression Klautz couldn\'t help but smirk. Klautz had acted nonchalant but he knew what was going on in the group from their occasional shouts.
It was utter chaos.
How many times had seen such chaos and how many times he had made use of it? He had lost all count.
\'I like chaos, it makes my work easier,\' he reminded himself.
"Are all of you done with your foolish time waste?" He lashed at them at the first opportunity.
Kristie furrowed his brows. "How dare he?" he whispered to himself. Kristle wasn\'t the type to tolerate such arrogance. He wanted to refute but Bret held his back with his arm. Bret shook his head signifying him that he should not do what he was about to.
In reality Klautz wasn\'t an arrogant person. With arrogance you cannot survive long in Hell. You need to shed your blood and sweat to survive. Without it one is destined to die!
But today Klautz chose to act this way. Why? He wanted to oppress the group, making them feel small, so that they don\'t come in the way of his plans. His plans require little to no friction between him and the group.
"Ah yes we are done, let\'s move onto the next stage," Dant replied.
Klautz nodded.
"Take us to the next stage!"
[Do you wish to proceed to the next stage? (yes/no)]
The same message popped up in front of everyone\'s status screen. Everyone\'s eyes was fixed onto the screen message. They were making a Do or Die decision here. They had no idea what to feel about it.
"YES!" Klautz and Dant bellowed in confidence.
Verona took a deep breath.
"Yes," Verona and Bret said softly.
"Yes" Blair and Kristie claimed in a dejected tone. Their voice contained a bit of melancholy at their emotional defeat. They were not able to accomplish what they were set out to accomplish. That put a heavyweight on their hearts.
Will their voices always be stopped in this manner? That\'s what they thought.
"This is so unfair," Kristie said soft enough for no one to hear him. He was always the active person amongst the lot. But this time no matter what action he took it wasn\'t going to change the outcome he so badly wants to change.
Not having any other choice they had to do what they didn\'t want to. But sooner or later they would have been thrown to the next stage anyway. If not now then later. What was lying for them at the next stage? Will they all survive? or will they all die? Did they make the right decisions till now? Such questions were on everyone\'s mind.
Klautz on the other hand was thinking what kind of beast lied await in the next stage.
