Chapter 858
Chapter 858: Visitting
“Pwah!” The White Crow gave out a satisfying grin. “Let’s enjoy the rest of the evening!”
The White Crow raised his cup merrily and let the festive atmosphere fill to the brims with the guests’ smiles. His eyes hovered to the sides before his head slightly tilted as he saw a party standing at the entrance. ( That’s a new face ) thought White Crow before he shrugged and paid no further attention as he gulped another cup down his throat.
“Hmm, I wonder who they are,” said Baiyun as he furrowed his brows.
“I’ve never seen them before, but that young man at the front has its eyes on the severed head of the Bahamut,” said Farash as she crossed her arms under her breast. Her chin was raised as she focused on the leader of the party.
“Hmm?” Moris raised one of his brows as he looked at Sakya. He then hovered his glance at the man who was approaching the small podium that the head of the slain Bahamut was on. ( Who is he? ) thought Moris before he decided to drop the matter. ( He is probably here because he was curious, can’t blame him though, it’s not every day one could see a severed head of a Bahamut ).
“Master Di,” Abaddon called out before he stood by him.
“Abaddon,” said Di.
“I can’t believe it, he really came,” Abaddon looked at Lyon and the rest of the party before turning his glance back toward his master. “What do you think will happen?”
“Abaddon, I’m not a seer,” said Di before he shook his head.
“I know that, but surely you have some insight that I don’t have,” said Abaddon after he rolled his eyes.
“I have no idea, things could escalate into a scenario that you hardly believe,” said Di as he shook his head, “I mean, the rumor of her having a sister is great enough, but the fact that he is her brother-in-law is an impact of a different level.”
Di darted his glance toward the woman in question. She was spotless despite the fact that her swordplay was second to none, however, that same woman had her eyes fixated on Lyon just like he thought. ( They are related somehow ) thought Di before he smirked. ( What does his arrival mark for the Mortal World I wonder ).
Nise had a small tingling on her nape before she looked over at her the Fang of Leviathan. She sharpened her eyes with her brows furrowed. She darted along in the direction that Zelena was looking before seeing the man that rubbed his chin as he examined the severed head of Bahamut with his eyes. ( It’s him! ) she claimed inwardly before she smirked.
“Ho~ would you look at that, a severed head of Bahamut, and she slashed it against the thickest part of Bahamut too,” Lyon smiled and nodded in approval.
“Yes, yes, yes! Isn’t she amazing?”
Lyon sighed the moment he heard the obnoxious tone. He didn’t even know who it was, nor did he care who it was. It was an instantaneous moment of hate that made his nape itch.
Lyon gradually raised his back before he walked away without even sparing a glance nor a word against the so-called Sword Prince.
“O-Oi!” The Sword Prince couldn’t believe that a stranger just left him like an idiot. “W-Where are you going?!”
“Don’t bother me, I have someone to me—Hmm?” Lyon raised his brows as he paused. He tilted his eyes as he looked at the Sakya. His brows furrowed before he canceled his initial direction toward Zelena and rotated to Sakya instead. He was unaware of the attention he had courted so effortlessly.
Sakya opened her eyes wide as Lyon inched closer to her. ( W-What? Does he recognize me?! Ah stupid! I did say my name before!! ) cursed Sakya toward herself.
“Oh?” Moris raised his brows before he grinned. “It seems like he likes you.”
“Shut up,” Sakya glared before she turned a bit wary at the approaching young man. Nobody had ever dared enough to just walk straight to her with whatever they were wearing at the time. He didn’t bow, he didn’t smile, he just approached her without disdain nor praise, a stoic of pure curiosity.
Then under everyone’s eyes, he was standing a distant step from her, all the while the guild leaders from the Guild Link standing by her side.
“Have we met before?” asked Lyon as he tilted his head and smiled. “Your scent is quite familiar somehow.”
( Scent? What is he? A dog? ) thought Sakya. ( It seems like he hasn’t done any research yet ).
“That’s really a pathetic attempt to get to know a person of the higher league,” a higher level of grating voice was heard before Lyon lost his smile.
( Stupid!! What the fuck are you saying!? ) cursed Sakya inwardly toward Baiyun for only she was the living witness of how Lyon defeated the Great Ivory Wyrm without breaking a sweat, nor even a blade for that matter.
Cecile smirked, “Let the emperor has its play, calm down all three of you.”
“Huh?” Luna faintly heard a cracking noise of a bone before her eyes opened wide the moment she darted over toward the three generals.
Kesya’s fingers were loosening up and an intense glare was premating out with her chin slightly rose. Assid had veins popping from his temples and was ready to burst whilst Graham was the calmest of them all.
The three generals were ready to shred Baiyun into pieces and their killing intents burst through; however, it was still coped entirely by Cecile’s lone aura.
“What tremendous reign,” muttered Luna after a gulp. Not one bit of the shuddering killing intent escaped out of as her goosebumps remained at rest.
Lyon looked at Baiyun before he snorted a smile, “I don’t think that tone would be necessary.”
“Yeah, you should know your place, who are you anyway?” asked Baiyun. “I see no affiliation on your get-up nor do I recognize your face, I wonder if you are here with an ill-intent.” He sharpened his eyes.
“If he has ill-intent then he is a giant fool, hahaha,” the White Crow added.
“I have to agree with White Crow,” Farash said, “Besides, this banquet is open to the public, why are we limiting ourselves to whom we want to converse with?”
Moris shrugged his shoulder, “I don’t want to meddle in this.”
“Don’t you get it, Farash? If he has ill-intent from the beginning, we can only blame ourselves if the snake bites later,” Baiyun frowned before he darted over to Lyon. “Now then, do you want to clear your intent, or do you want to—”
“Shut your mouth Baiyun!” Sakya shouted.
Baiyun’s complexion had a faint redness and his eyelashes felt like it was facing a heatwave. He had to take a step back, “Sakya! What are you doing?!”
“Enough of your crap!” Sakya frowned before the room temperature returned to normal.
“I’m doing this for the greater good!” said Baiyun. “Or perhaps do you know this man?”
“Woah, that’s some fiery fire you release there,” said Lyon with a smile.
( I’m doing this to save you, you idiot! ) thought Sakya before she turned to Lyon. “In case of knowing this man, I do know him.”
“Huh? You do? Well, I mean I know I smell something familiar about you,” said Lyon. “But do we ever meet? I don’t think I can not recall meeting anyone as beautiful as you.”
“Save your flattery, Lyon,” said Sakya.
“Lyon?” Abaddon raised his brows before he darted his eyes toward his master who was frowning instead.
( Lyon, Sein, so you two are one of the same ) thought Di as he frowned before he raised his brows. ( Then that means you’re the one that the guild leader met at the peak?! The one that killed the Great Ivory Wyrm?! ) the master tightened his upper lips.
“Heh, I think I remember where we met, you really cooked that wyrm’s head over,” said Lyon before he turned and looked at Baiyun. “What is your name?”
The crowd was stunned before Baiyun smirked, “Heh, you don’t even know my name.”
“That’s why I ask you,” said Lyon nonchalantly. “But whatever, you can keep your name for yourself, I’m not here for you.”
“What?” Baiyun scowled as he heard Lyon’s obnoxious tone.
Lyon squinted his eyes before looking at one particular woman. He smiled.
Nise, Baik, Harmon, and Lorey immediately picked up th queue. ( He is the one! ) thought all of them at the same time.
“You can’t be….” Sakya muttered before Lyon raised his hand and pointed at the woman with glistening black hair. The man that killed the Great Ivory Wyrm with mere words was the same man that Di was mentioning. He was both the slayer and the Fang’s brother-in-law.
“I’m here to visit her,” said Lyon before he smirked. “The Fang of Leviathan, Zelena herself.”
The entire hall was stunned and dumbfounded before his finger directed where all the attention of the hall should be. The woman that was untouchable, the woman who had supreme sword technique. She smiled as she was pointed out by him.
