Chapter 1654 - Friend
Chapter 1654: Friend
After a moment of silence, Gu Tianyi stared at Wu Han and said, “Honored Wu Han, I am not purposely making it hard for you guys but I cannot treat a subordinate who has done great deeds for the Imperial Ancestor Court.”
With that, Gu Tianyi’s gaze fell upon Commander Zhu Yi as he said, “Commander Zhu Yi, you are the commander of the Red Dragon Camp and Su Mo is your subordinate. What do you think of this matter?”
“How can I simply hand my troop over to others to handle!” Zhu Yi’s face was calm but his voice was stern.
Wu Han’s face instantly darkened instantly. Were these two were working with each other?
It seems that Gu Tianyi was determined to protect Su Mo!
Wu Han’s face twisted and darkened. Although Gu Tianyi was just a youngster, he was the most talented prince of the Imperial Ancestor Court and hence, he could represent the Imperial Ancestor Court’s stand.
After a long moment of silence, Wu Han stood up and said, “Eighth Prince and Commander Zhu Yi, since the both of you aren’t willing to hand Su Mo over, then we have nothing else to discuss. We will take our leave!”
“We won’t send you off!” Gu Tianyi nodded his head.
“Fengtian, let’s go!” Wu Han glanced at Su Mo with a scowl before he beckoned Wu Fengtian to follow him and the pair strode out of the palace.
“Su Mo, congratulations on living for a while more!” Wu Fengtian glared at Su Mo as he spoke. Thereafter, he followed Wu Han out of the palace.
He did not say further words, nor make an attack. Commander Zhu Yi was on the scene and since he had missed his previous opportunity to kill Su Mo, he could not sneak a sudden attack anymore.
“Wu Fengtian, I will return you your finger blow in the future!” Su Mo glowered under his breath. If it wasn’t for the scene that day, he would not be afraid of fighting Wu Fengtian, even though he was not fully confident of winning.
Su Mo also knew somewhat about Wu Fengtian. After all, he had been in the Sorcerer Tribe for a period of time and had searched through Sorcerer Tribesmen’ memories.
Wu Fengtian was not only the Young Clan Leader of the Heavenly Underworld Star Sorccerer Tribe, he was also the strongest genius and most talented there.
He was not even 60 years old yet, but a few years earlier, he had managed to defeat a high-ranked Martial Honorable. His fighting strength was incredibly strong, such that he could defeat those of a higher rank than himself.
Wu Fengtian rarely appeared in the Heavenly Underworld Star but often lived in the main branch of the Sorcerer Tribe. Perhaps he might not just be the most talented individual in the Heavenly Underworld Star branch, he might even be the greatest genius in the entire Sorcerer Tribe.
“You will have that chance!” Without looking back, Wu Fengtian said.
Very quickly, the Sorcerer Tribesmen left the Imperial Ancestor Court and left Saint Royal City as they headed back to the territory of the Blood Pupil Clan.
“Wu Han, are you just going to give up just like that?” As they flew, Wu Fengtian asked Wu Han.
“Of course not!” Wu Han shook his head and sighed, “Su Mo is currently in the Imperial Ancestor Court and we have no chance of attacking him there. Let’s head back to the Blood Pupil Clan first and think of a strategy!”
“Mm!” Wu Fengtian nodded his head and agreed that that was their only way forward now. It was only a pity that he had not succeeded in killing Su Mo with that finger. Otherwise, they could have settled the matter there and then.
“Fengtian, what is your opinion of Su Mo’s strength?” Wu Han asked.
“Compared to the martial artists in his rank, he is outstanding to be able to withstand my finger blow.”
With an expressionless face, Wu Fengtian continued, “However, he is still just an ant in my eyes!”
Wu Fengtian did not highly regard Su Mo. Since they were in the Saint Royal Palace just now, Wu Fengtian had restrained the finger blow and he had not put all his strength in it.
“His talents are terrifying. A few years ago, he was in the Martial Emperor Realm only. His cultivation speed is too fast!”
An exasperated look crossed Wu Han’s face as he sighed, “I have a feeling that if we don’t kill this man now, he will be huge trouble for our tribe in the future.”
“Relax! If I don’t kill him, I will not return to the tribe!” Wu Fengtian confidently uttered. He didn’t believe that Su Mo would stay in Saint Royal City forever. He would have to come out one day, and then he would be killed.
“How about you turn back first. I can stay here. There is less than 2 years until the Sky Dragon Contest, you should head back and prepare for it first.”
Wu Han was hesitant. He did not have important matters to attend to and could remain in Red Millet Star and find an opportunity to kill Su Mo. However, Wu Han was different and he had much more important things to worry about.
“Let’s wait for a while and see!” Wu Fengtian concluded. He did not have much to prepare for for the Sky Dragon Contest.
His cultivation had reached the peak of the Rank 7 Martial Honorable Realm. Furthermore, he could feel that the bottleneck to the next rank had loosened on his way to Red Millet Star. At the very most, he would need 3 more months to break through to the Rank 8 Martial Honorable Realm.
By that time, there would be more than one and a half years to the Sky Dragon Contest. He could only look at the circumstances then to see if he could break through to the Rank 9 Martial Honorable Realm.
“Mm, we can return to the Blood Pupil Clan and see whether they have any ideas for us to deal with Su Mo!” Wu Han nodded his head.
On Wu Fengtian’s stone hard face, a cold flash of light crossed by as he wondered, “Isn’t Su Mo in Red Dragon Camp? If the Red Dragon Camp goes out for battle, he will have to leave Saint Royal City.”
“That’s right, that’s a good idea!” Wu Han’s eyes flashed with brilliance as he started to think.
Yet, this idea will need the support of the Blood Pupil Clan to succeed.
After all, the Red Dragon Camp was no ordinary army and they would not easily go out for war.
...
In the secluded palace.
“Thank you, Eighth Prince and Commander!”
Once the Sorcerer Tribesmen left, Su Mo cupped his fists towards Gu Tianyi and Commander Zhu Yi, sincerely thanking them.
The pair had protected him and, naturally, he had to thank them.
“Su Mo, with our relationship, you don’t have to thank me. However, this is not a long-term plan, I can protect you temporarily, but not forever!”
Gu Tianyi sighed as his face darkened, “Today, only the Young Clan Leader from the Heavenly Underworld Star came. If the leader comes next time and directly finds the king, I will not be able to protect you!”
“I understand!” Su Mo nodded. The king of the Imperial Ancestor Court couldn’t become enemies with the Sorcerer Tribe just for him.
“Mm, you take responsibility for yourself!” Gu Tianyi lightly said.
“Eighth Prince, Commander, I will take my leave now!” Su Mo cupped his fists towards the two again and left.
A few moments later, he left the secluded palace and returned to the Red Dragon Camp.
“Prince, is Su Mo worth your effort?”
After Su Mo left, Commander Zhu Yi asked Gu Tianyi.
“Definitely!” Gu Tianyi nodded his head. He understood Su Mo’s character. Su Mo valued relationships and justice, that was also his greatest weakness.
Of course, this was also a strength it would benefit Gu Tianyi greatly in the future.
“I heard that this man is an exceptional talent and also one that is hard to come by in a few thousand years. I fear that we may not be able to control him!” Zhu Yi warned. He was not a supporter of Gu Tianyi but he was just giving advice to the Eighth Prince.
Exceptional talents typically do not like to be controlled by others. Gu Tianyi wanted to have power over Su Mo, but Su Mo could bring him harm in the future.
“Hehe, you worry too much. I never wanted to control him!”
Gu Tianyi laughed lightheartedly as he continued, “We are just friends who support each other!”
A suspicious glare crossed Zhu Yi’s eyes before he nodded his head inwardly.
The Eighth Prince was the most clever and mysterious among the three top princes. He was far greater than the First Prince and the Third Prince.
The only thing he lacked was his cultivation rank and support.
Of course, this was only due to his age. After all, he was much younger than the other two princes.
