Never Judge

Chapter 860 - 860

Ray had left with Jonathan 10 mins earlier and had just informed him that they were now in the plane, waiting for Miguel who\'s car had just pulled up to the tarmac.

Cedric quickly called Guan Ming, but it seemed that the businessman was quite busy and was not able to pick up his call.

Cedric had already ordered for the plane to fly back to the capital to pick him up. Hopefully by the time it landed Gun Ming would already be at the airport.

"Still no answer?" Adrianna asked as she returned to Cedric\'s office with a cup of hot coffee for her husband.

It was already getting quite late as they had spent most of the day working in Ray\'s office as they anticipated any kind of bad news from the flight.

"I\'ll try again, I think he is with Lucius Ting." Cedric said as he glanced at his phone.

"Did you try giving Camilla a call?" His wife asked. "Maybe she would know where he is."

"I\'m worried that she might be with them." Cedric replied as he picked his phone up and dialed Guan Ming\'s number again. "Guan Ming has my number saved as someone else so I\'m not worried about Lucius catching him."

"It\'s only normal for a boss to call their employee, especially someone as highly ranked as Camilla." Adrianna reminded her husband.

"I\'ll try Guan Ming first." Cedric said as he searched for his friend\'s number on his phone.

Just like Guan Ming, Cedric had the Chinese businessman\'s number saved under a different name, it was to keep their friendship a secret.

After two rings, Cedric let out a sigh of relief as Guan Ming answered his phone.

"Hey, sorry about that." Guan Ming said. "Give me a few minutes, I\'m just walking out of a meeting."

"Alright." Cedric said as he remained on the line.

\'I don\'t mind staying longer, my mother loves this country.\' Cedric heard Guan Ming say to whoever he was in the room with.

\'Perfect, I can recommend a few resorts and tourist destinations.\' Cedric was not surprised to hear Lucius Ting\'s voice over the phone.

\'She already has a few favorite places here that she\'s visited multiple times without me. I plan to join her next week.\' Guan Ming informed Lucius Ting. \'Mr. Ting, I\'m curious, why did you choose this country to grow your business in?\'

Cedric couldn\'t believe his ears, was Guan Ming really about to let him hear the whole conversation?

\'Do you trust whoever is at the other end of that call?\' Lucius Ting asked, making Cedric worry.

\'With my life.\' Guan Ming replied.

\'Whoever is at the other end of that call must be someone incredibly important.\' Cedric heard Camilla say.

It was a good thing he had decided to call Guan Ming over Camilla.

\'He is.\' Guan Ming responded. \'This person is someone who has had faith in me from the start and he is one of my oldest friends.\'

\'Then I guess it\'s fine if he overhears this.\' Lucius Ting said.

\'You can trust him, plus I doubt he is paying attention to this call.\' Guan Ming said with a chuckle. \'My business exploits rarely interest him.\'

Cedric wanted to laugh, it seemed like Guan Ming was trying to insinuate that he was in a relationship with whoever was at the other end of the call.

\'Well, Mr. Guan, I moved here because my biological family is quite influential here and I plan on taking back my position in our family after I was thrown out.\' Lucius said in a bitter tone.

\'A commendable goal Mr. Ting.\' Guan Ming praised. \'Well, if that is all, I shall go back to my hotel now.\'

Cedric heard Guan Ming saying goodbye to Lucius Ting and Camilla.

When he was most likely in his car, Guan Ming resumed his conversation with Cedric.

"That was interesting." Cedric said with a chuckle.

"My life is always interesting." Guan Ming replied, laughing at his friend. "Why did you call?" He asked.

"Is it safe to talk?" Cedric asked his friend.

"I\'ll try my best to give you the answers you want." Guan Ming said, meaning he didn\'t trust that the car he was in was free of bugs and spies.

"There was an incident on your mother\'s flight home." Cedric informed Guan Ming, hoping that his friend would pick up on the subtle hints he was leaving.

"What? Is everyone alright?" Guan Ming asked. "Have they landed?"

"Yes, they have landed in Kashmere, but she is in the hospital." Cedric told him.

"Is it serious?" Guan Ming asked.

"We don\'t know yet, but Dr. Chan and Raymund Laurence are already on their way." Cedric informed him.

"I need to fly out." Guan Ming informed his assistant, whom Cedric assumed was in the car with him.

"I\'ve asked your plane to come back to the capital to fetch you." Cedric said.

"Thank you." Guan Ming told his friend.

"I\'ll need to talk to you while you are there." Cedric said in a more serious tone.

"I\'m sure Mr. Laurence can arrange something for me. Thank you for informing me about this." Guan Ming told Cedric.

"The plane should be here by the time you arrive at the airport." Cedric said as he dropped the call.

"That was a long call." Adrianna told her husband as she gave him a curious look.

"Guan Ming was still with Lucius Ting and Camilla, I made the right choice not calling Camilla by the way." Cedric said as he gave his wife an \'I told you so\' look.

"Did Guan Ming get your message?" Adrianna asked, completely ignoring what her husband was trying to insinuate.

"I think so." Cedric said with a frown, unhappy that Adrianna ignored his victory. "If he doesn\'t, the pilot should be able to inform him when he gets onboard the plane, and when he arrives, Miguel and Ray will be there."

"What now?" Adrianna asked her husband.

"Now, you calm down, relax, and let me handle things." Cedric told his wife. "You can\'t be stressed or agitated, you are pregnant, it\'s not good for the twins."

Adrianna frowned at her husband\'s words.

"Go get some rest, I promise I\'ll handle this." Cedric said as his wife rolled her eyes at him and left the room, slamming the door behind her.

He was in for a long night, it seemed that he needed to do something big enough to keep Lucius Ting\'s attention elsewhere.
