Never Judge

Chapter 584 - 584

Benedict drove his car up to the restaurant where Lucius Ting had invited him. It was a distance from the city in a secluded area.

He found it odd that there weren\'t that many cars around, he had heard of this place. It was a popular restaurant that initially threatened to dethrone the bamboo room as the most popular restaurant in the city.

"Are you sure about joining me?" Benedict asked Camilla who sat at the passenger\'s seat.

"Why wouldn\'t I?" Camilla asked as she cocked her head to the side.

"Lucius and I may say things about Cedric and your other friends that won\'t go well with you." Benedict said, shaking his head. "I don\'t want to end up hurting you all over again Camilla."

"I\'m a big girl, Benedict." Camilla said, laughing at her brother\'s worry. "I\'m here to act too."

"Well I could just tell him you weren\'t ready to face people." Benedict said with a shrug.

"We both know that won\'t be convincing enough." Camilla said with a sigh. "Besides, I can pretend to hate Cedric."

"Can you pretend to have loved Aiden?" Benedict asked with a raised eyebrow. He knew that even before she had disappeared Aiden and  Camilla didn\'t exactly have the best relationship.

Camilla sighed and shook her head.

"Benedict, regardless of what happened and of how Aiden turned out, he was still my brother." Camilla frowned. "I still loved him as my older brother. Even when he died I felt bad, a part of me died too. I had hoped that he could change so that we could have some semblance of a normal family life."

"But he hurt you, he almost. . ." Benedict couldn\'t even complete his sentence. His anger with Aiden on what his brother planned to do to their sister still hadn\'t subsided, even if the man was dead.

"He almost raped me." Camilla suddenly said as she looked out into the distance. "Just say it Benedict, my own older brother almost raped me. He didn\'t know I was his sister and he wanted to take me."

"The thought should never have even crossed his mind." Benedict said as he gripped the steering wheel tightly. "Rape is always wrong."

"It\'s good that you know that." Camilla said with a weak smile as she placed her hand on her brother\'s shoulder. "But Benedict, I believe that people can always change."

"Not Aiden." Benedict said, shaking his head. "Aiden wouldn\'t have changed Camilla. Don\'t deceive yourself."

"What\'s done is done." Camilla said with a sigh. "I don\'t want the past to hinder our future anymore Benedict."

Benedict looked at his sister and gave her a weak smile.

"I want you to move on, find a woman, and give me nieces and nephews." Camilla suddenly teased making Benedict laugh.

"You boys brood too much." Camilla said as she watched her brother become happy for a moment.

"It\'s part of the act, Camilla." Benedict said with a wink. "We need to pretend to be in pain, to be angry."

"Fine, you be the sibling that can\'t control his emotions, while I become the logical one." Camilla said, flashing her brother a smile.

Benedict shook his head, amused at how his sister was taking the matter.

"No, you\'re right." Benedict said, admitting his mistake. "I need to seem mature and calm about this. We need Lucius to keep thinking that we are the more powerful ones, the richer ones."

"There you go, now we deal with Lucius." Camilla said as she pointed towards the restaurant doors.

Benedict nodded and stepped out of the car. He quickly ran to Camilla\'s side, opened the door for her, and helped her out.

"I think he might have booked the whole place for our meeting." Camilla whispered to her brother with a hit of disgust in her tone. "I think he is trying to show off."

"Would that even impress you?" Benedict whispered back, amused by his sister\'s comment.

"I was Cedric\'s personal assistant for years." Camilla said as she looked up at her brother with a raised eyebrow. "It takes much more to impress me." Camilla said in as snobbish a tone as she could, loud enough in the hopes that one of Lucius\' men could hear her.

As they approached, the restaurant doors swung open as a waiter greeted them.

"This way sir, mam." The man said with a slight bow as he led them to the rooftop of the building.

Camilla gave her brother a knowing smile. She knew that not just anyone was allowed to book the rooftop of this restaurant.

Clearly Lucius Ting was trying to impress them.

"Sir, mam." The waiter said one more as he directed them to walk towards a balcony set up on the rooftop.

Camilla thanked the man as she and Benedict walked onto the balcony.

The siblings could make out a man, he was standing with his back to them. The cloud of smoke that rose showed them that he was smoking.

"Are you Lucius Ting?" Benedict asked as he and his sister stopped by the table.

Camilla watched as the man dropped his cigarette and extinguished it by stepping on it.

"Yes." The man said as he turned,

Camilla could see how it was possible that he was related to the Chan siblings. His features were even more similar to them up close and in person.

His face was shaped the same as Eric and Miguel, and the way he carried himself was quite similar to Nicole. But Camilla knew that even if people looked alike, it didn\'t mean that they were siblings.

"I\'m glad to see that you could join me." Lucius said in a deep voice and a british accent. In all honesty to Camilla he sounded like an evil villain.

"I\'m Benedict Ortiz, and this is my sister Camilla Montero." Benedict said as he offered Lucius a hand to shake.

The man obliged, shaking Benedict\'s hand as he gave Camilla a curious look.

"Your brother never mentioned another sister." Lucius said with a raised eyebrow.

"We don\'t have another sister." Benedict quickly answered in a cold and intimidating tone.

His behavior somewhat caught Camilla by surprise, she never expected her brother to have this side to him.

"I never died." Camilla said with a shrug as she watched an expression of shock cross Lucius\' face.
