Chapter 256 Innate Skill (Part 1)
\'\'C-cousin? \'\' Galen called out as he hesitantly approached. Both his facial expression and his tone of voice suggested that he was at a loss for words regarding how to address him.
\'\'Yes? \'\' Raydon, observing that he was acting strangely, gave his response.
\'I seem to have gone a bit overboard again, \' he chuckled to himself, reflecting on the situation. It was reminiscent of what had transpired earlier with the elders in the meeting room.
Upon witnessing their technique and reflecting on his own, he came to a realization. It was indeed strange how someone who had been considered to be disabled and mentally unstable up until this point could acquire such remarkable talent and knowledge in such a short amount of time.
In point of fact, he did not fully understand why a family with such a long history had such a poor technique, and on top of that, why the techniques he learned and developed from the games in his previous world were so much more advanced than theirs. However, there was one truth: he knew that he was now regarded as a genius and an anomaly in the eyes of everyone.
He was also aware that after displaying his abilities to such a degree, his cover story of possessing a high-rank master that he had used at one point in the past would, in due course, be exposed.
\'Oh well, I don\'t care. I\'m not the kind of person who can fake being weak to fool other people, anyway. \' Raydon could not have cared less about the consequences.
He would go to any lengths in order to obtain what he desired, but due to the fact that he is typically an impatient person, it would be a very challenging task for him to achieve his objective by concealing his power and identity for a considerable amount of time. Since he was always forthright and self-assured in his own capabilities, it was never entertaining for him to submit to the will of others by pretending to be weak and talentless.
Also, if he wasn\'t going to flex his abilities and powers, then what was the point of him having them in the first place? Heroes and villains are the only ones who are known to conceal their skills until the time is right, patiently building up their power in the shadows so that they can eventually use it to achieve their goals.
Raydon, on the other hand, did not consider himself either a hero or a villain, and the only thing he wanted from this world was to have more exciting experiences.
\'At the very least, it\'s a lot more enjoyable this way. \' He thought this as he observed the peculiar and amusing expressions on Mell and Galen\'s faces.
Galen gave Raydon an odd look for a moment before finding the right words to say, but he was cut off by another voice.
\'\'It\'s really interesting to see that this formation only has ten difficulty levels. I guess we\'ll have to get you another formation capable of testing your limits. \'\'
\'\'Father? Were you watching? \'\' Galen said as he turned around and looked at Zephyr, who had suddenly materialized beside them.
"Kids, I know there\'s a lot you want to talk to him about, but right now I have to take him for a while for an important meeting. \'\' Looking at Mell and Galen, Zephyr said.
He had experienced a sense of relief earlier when the family head finally summoned them to provide an explanation. However, when the family head specifically requested that Raydon be brought along, he couldn\'t wait any longer. Filled with impatience, he decided to personally fetch Raydon himself, without waiting for Cael to accompany him.
"Family head has some things to say, and I\'m sure that it will interest you as well. \'\' Because Zephyr did not want to give the impression that he was taking him against his will, he made the decision to ask for his permission by stating it first.
He continued once Raydon nodded in agreement.
"Good, don\'t resist it will only take 1 second. \'\'
Then, without making a sound and moving very quickly, a cloud of water materialized from underneath Raydon\'s and his own feet, enveloping both of them. It then vanished along with the two of them in an equally quiet manner, leaving not even a single drop of water behind it.
The only thing left was the echo of Zephyr\'s voice in Galen and Mell\'s minds.
\'\'We\'ll explain everything later, so don\'t tell anyone what you\'ve seen here for the time being. \'\'
—
As Zephyr had said, after only one second had passed, the wall of water that had been obscuring Raydon\'s vision vanished suddenly, and he found himself in an entirely different location.
\'What the hell was that? \' Raydon was wondering what kind of skill this was when he noticed Cael and the others around him looking at him strangely.
\'\'All right, I brought him. Can we leave right now? \'\' Looking at Cael, Zephyr said impatiently.
\'\'Yes. \'\' Cael responded.
"Hahaha, well, if that\'s the case, we\'ll be waiting for you there. Don\'t be too late. \'\' As soon as Zephyr finished his sentence, the water vapor that had earlier engulfed him and Raydon swallowed them both up once more, and they disappeared once again.
\'\'Tch, he is showing off his movement skill. \'\' Arden muttered, his tone laced with annoyance.
\'\'Anyway, we should hurry as well,\'\' Cael said, and suddenly a pair of black wings appeared on his back, and he flew out of the room at an incredible rate of speed.
After that, the others followed him without saying anything else, using their own movement type skills.
—
\'It took a bit longer this time, \' Raydon remarked as he observed the dissipation of the water wall that had obstructed his view. He became aware that he had been moved to a different location once more, and that this time it had taken a little longer than before.
\'\'Hm? What\'s wrong? " Zephyr questioned him when he saw Raydon staring at him with eyes that appeared to be slightly perplexed.
